The

 Heights Youth Group

We exist to be a place where youth can come and be SAFE emotionally, mentally and physically. We want our youth to have FUN in a Christian atmosphere, and above all, help all youth UNDERSTAND and ACCEPT the LOVE OF JESUS CHRIST.

Sunday School

Chug some coffee and rub the sleep out of your eyes and join us Sunday mornings at 9:45 am for Sunday School! Middle school students and High School students meet on the 2nd floor of the Education building to dive into God’s Word (the Bible) for in-depth study and real life application. We study both the Old Testament and the New Testament and encourage discussion about the topics and questions that will be brought up during the scripture reading. Please feel free to join in and learn how the Bible has relevant truth for our lives today!

Sunday Night

Do you enjoy having fun? Do group games strike you as a fine way to spend time? Do you require food to survive? If you said yes to any of those, then Sunday Night youth group is a perfect youth event for you! Middle school and High school students meet in the youth room on the 2nd floor of the Education building at 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. On the 1st and 3rd Sunday’s of the month we start off the evening by getting dinner together. We sometimes order Pizza Hut, or we’ll head over to a nearby restaurant like Tijuana Flats or Zaxby’s. Whether it’s a  dinner night or not, we spend the rest of the time hanging out together playing games. We play all manner of games, from card games like Bob Uno or Killer Bunnies, to group games like Mafia or Ninja Ball, or something in between like Telepictionary. Whatever the game may be, we promise it will be a time of fun, fellowship, and an easy way to get to know everyone else.

Wednesday Night

At the Heights Youth Group we believe in helping the kids who come to us to grow closer to God and understand the life that God has called us to live as Christians. On Wednesday nights the church hosts dinner in the Fellowship Hall at 5:45 pm. Families, students, adults, visitors, and church members all gather together to eat dinner with one another. Traditionally, the youth will all sit with each other in one table and eat together. It’s a great way to unwind and relax after three days of school. Wednesday night Youth group officially starts at 6:30 pm. Every other week we worship by singing praise songs played by our youth praise band. On the off weeks we have small groups after the lesson where we discuss our lives, discussion questions about the lesson, and pray for one another. The lesson is given by the Youth Director or an intern and each lesson is designed to be applicable and relatable to both middle school students and high school students. Topics range from scripture passages to current events. Come spend a Wednesday night with us and challenge yourself to grow closer to God!
